We’re proud to say that our Children’s Services have received a ‘Good’ rating in our most recent OFSTED inspection and we’re on the lookout for passionate and driven qualified social workers to contribute to the well-being of children and families across Derbyshire.
We have two posts based within the Children with Disabilities Service at The Hub, South Normanton and Buxton Area Office, alongside other experienced Social Workers, Community Care Workers and Children’s Occupational Therapists.
Posts are available in the following teams:
- North-East Derbyshire/Bolsover - one full-time post
- High Peak - one part-time post (29.6 hours) - this post is based in Buxton

- Grade 9 - £37,253 pro rata made up of:
- Basic salary per annum: £33,253
- Market supplement payment per annum: £4,000 pro rata
- Grade 10 - £37,324 - £40,527 pro rata made up of:
- Basic salary per annum: £34,324 to £37,529 pro rata
- Market supplement payment per annum: £3,000 pro rata
- Grade 11 - £40,629 - £43,928 pro rata made up of:
- Basic salary per annum: £38,629 to £41,928 pro rata
- Market supplement payment per annum: £2,000 pro rata
Derbyshire is a large authority divided into six localities: Amber Valley, Chesterfield, Erewash, High Peak (Buxton, Glossop, New Mills, and Matlock), Bolsover and North-East, and South Derbyshire. Alongside our Locality teams we have a countywide Children with Disabilities Service.
