Job Title: Grounds person
Location: Queens Medical Centre, Derby Road, Nottingham, NG7 2UH
Shift Pattern: 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours a week)
Pay: £12.45 per hour

About the Trust:
We deliver district general services to 2.5m residents of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, and its surrounding communities. Our specialist services allow us to deliver care to 4.5m people from across the East Midlands and nationally for a handful of services. QMC is where our Emergency Department (ED), Major Trauma Centre and the Nottingham Children’s Hospital are based. It is also home to the University of Nottingham’s School of Nursing and Medical School.
What you will be responsible for:
· Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging lawns etc
· Use power tools and hand tools to build and maintain outdoor structures
· Dig trenches for irrigation systems and install/maintain irrigation equipment
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of outdoor spaces (including regular litter picking)
· Perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping equipment
· Monitor and control pests and diseases
You will have the following skills/experience:
· Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques
· Proficiency in operating power tools and hand tools
· Knowledge of proper planting, watering, and care for plants
· Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on equipment
· Ability to work independently and follow instructions
· work with other team members to complete gardening projects
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain clean and organized working areas
· Ability to lift/transport heavy objects
· To be able to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
Must have a valid CSCS card to be successful.
