Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is dedicated to supporting individuals’ mental and physical well-being. Their brand-new café at North View in Crumpsall serves as a welcoming community hub for patients, staff, and visitors, and they are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, snacks, and light meals.
- Assist with food preparation and adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
- Operate the till and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
- Keep the café clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the café runs smoothly.
Person Specification:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about great service and enjoys working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. You’ll need to have:
- Experience using Barista-style coffee machines, including operating to make a small range of core coffee products and cleaning them down. This is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach and ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
- Experience handling money and using a cashier till.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity and respect in all interactions.
· This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
