The Peggy Wood Breast Unit at Maidstone Hospital has a part-time 1 yr fixed term contract vacancy for a Band 3 Senior Clerical Officer, Monday/Tuesday/ Thurday &Friday 30.0 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be joining the Breast Screening Office team, who strive to ensure patient care is at the forefront of our service. You will provide clerical and admin support which contributes to the smooth running of the breast screening office. Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount for this post which involves scheduling and booking appointments for routine and urgent breast examinations and procedures, ensuring national targets are not breached.
The post also involves communication with patients and all members of the multi-disciplinary team; face-to-face and by telephone. Therefore an outgoing nature and pleasant manner is essential, displaying tact and diplomacy where necessary. Additional duties include record keeping and the input of data onto the Breast screening computer programme. Previous experience in a healthcare setting and use of patient databases is essential.
