Job Title: Porter / Driver
Location: Oakwood, Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, Kent ME16 9PH
Shift Pattern: Monday – Sunday various hours over winter period, lots of opportunities to work!
Pay: Band 2 - £12.08 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

What you’ll be responsible for:
· Ensure that a “Duty of Candour” is maintained with services users/carers at all time.
· Ensure services are delivered safely and within the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act, including monitoring the quality and safety at each site of responsibility, identifying breaches, escalating them and acting on them as soon as possible.
· Be responsible for ensuring a regular process of review is in place to detect incidents that indicate adverse quality of care, and triangulate.
· Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of other persons who may be affected by your actions, and to carry out your responsibilities in ways that ensure a sage and healthy place of work.
· Promote effective communication within all department areas and staff and colleagues.
· Be accountable for own standards of work.
· Support colleagues and work co-operatively to promote good team morale.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
- Experience in a similar role
- Full UK Driving Licence (able to pull and reverse small trailer for food boxes
· Previous NHS experience.
· Deal appropriately with patients, staff and general public.
· Ability to work without direct supervision.
· Flexible approach to duties.
· Able to work as part of a team essential.
· To be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling affective partnership working at all levels.
· Previous cleaning experience desirable
· Previous Portering experience desirable.
