We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Part Time Receptionist to join our administration team; the Receptionist must be able and willing to work in a very busy environment where priorities change on a daily basis, have excellent interpersonal skills and willing to embrace change.
Although primarily based in Charlton Lane Hospital the post holder may, on occasions, be required to work across other sites as the needs of the service dictate. The post is a 28 hour per week role, Monday and Tuesday 8am - 8pm and Wednesday 2pm - 8pm.
You must be comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of the administrative team.
You will be expected to efficiently manage your own workload and prioritise work to meet deadlines. You will project the professional image of the business through demonstrating excellent customer care in all activities.

To provide reception, clerical and administration duties, maintaining an efficient and friendly service to patients, relatives and visitors
To liaise with staff in the Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (as required) and external providers
Support the manager and the administrative team in the administrative function as required
To project the professional image of the business through demonstrating excellent customer care in all activities
The receptionist is responsible for taking all incoming calls into the building
- The receptionist provides support to a variety of members of staff (both clinical and non-clinical) working within the base

- Meet clients, relatives and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting them with enquiries and directing or escorting them to their destination as required
- To deal competently and discreetly with queries either face to face or via the telephone using appropriate protocols
- Recording messages as appropriate
- To deal with all incoming and outgoing mail, date stamping and ensuring incoming post is distributed
- To be competent in the use of the photocopier and other office equipment
- Photocopying and maintaining adequate supplies of forms and paperwork used within the unit
- To process new files and maintain clients notes and records as appropriate using current systems to include scanning and uploading documents
- To keep the reception / waiting areas tidy and ensure notice boards are up to date i.e. by removing inappropriate reading material etc
- To provide cover for other administrative staff in their absence or as required by the manager
- To ensure that mandatory training is up to date and appropriate to role
To be flexible and willing to cover any unit within the Countywide Locality should the need arise
- To undertake any other duties as and when required

- Maintain adequate stock levels of all stationery used within the department
- Ensure the franking machine is functional at all times
