Job Description
We're looking for new Care Assistants to join our team who are available for shifts of four to six hours daily to provide support at home and in the community. These visits will be with the same client to support their independence and live happy in their own home for a longer period of time. There is also an opportunity for sleep-night shifts.
The support you will provide may include:
- Companionship and social support. Having a chat with clients, encouraging and supporting them to carry out activities and accompanying them out into the local community.
- Help with food preparation and household tasks, such as vacuuming, washing up and light cleaning. Supporting clients to maintain a balanced diet, helping them make a drink and assisting to keep their homes clean and safe.
- Support in the community including shopping, dining and activities of the client's choice. Helping out with the weekly shop, popping out for a coffee and helping maintain their diary.
- Mobility support and transportation. Assisting with mobility including wheelchair transfers and helping in and out of vehicles as well as driving to their desired destination.

Qualifications
While experience is always valued, we provide comprehensive training prior to you meeting your clients, and ongoing training and support. The support provided by the Home Instead team means no prior experience is required!
Must have a means of transport as clients are predominately cared for in their own homes, or would like you to accompany them on appointments or outings and can live in remote areas.
