This role is Fixed term until 31st July 2025, working 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
Who We Need And What You’ll Bring
We are looking for a Hair and Barbering lecturer who is a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher to join our faculty. Hair and Barbering at Nottingham College is delivered from our Adams Campus as well as our commercial salon in Nottingham City Centre. Our courses include full and part time delivery. The successful applicant will be teaching Hairdressing and Barbering. You will be a responsible and confident teacher who has the skills to inspire both pupils and colleagues. You will have an imaginative approach to teaching that generates wonderfully creative lessons to fully engage and inspire your students.
Applicants should have recent experience of teaching either in their current or previous teaching post. Applicants should have the ability to work as part of a team and develop and share innovative and stimulating teaching and learning resources.
Applicants must be passionate about teaching in the FE sector, and be committed to ensuring that our learners make the best possible progress. As such, applicants must also have a good sense of humour, the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
You will have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one and be passionate about being a professional educator to young people.
