Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled with care.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the organisation of warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is essential.
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with the role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous.
- A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is required.
