An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the chemotherapy day unit for a dynamic and motivated Ward Clerk/ Receptionist with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an enthusiasm for caring for patients in a day unit setting.
You will support the medical and nursing staff in delivering high standards of patient care including the administrative tasks involved in running a busy day unit.
To ensure that all patients and other members of the public and staff are treated in a polite and considerate manner and receive prompt attention when required.
To ensure that any telephone messages or enquiries are conveyed and dealt with in a timely and clear manner.
To carry out non nursing duties as directed by qualified members of staff and to report to them as required.
To ensure that all assigned duties carried out efficiently and effectively in order to ensure the smooth running of the Chemotherapy Day Unit.
To be involved in the process of booking patients to the chemotherapy day unit and informing all relevant patients.
