Job Title: GP Practice Receptionist / Administrator

Location: Greenman Medical Centre

Report to: Practice Manager

Salary: £11.44 - £11.50 per hour depending on experience

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable and flexible receptionist to join our practice team.

Applicants must have the ability to work well as an individual as well as part of the existing team in a calm and professional manner and work well under pressure.

The Reception Team is the first point of contact for our patients, we expect our staff to project a positive, approachable, and professional image at all times.

Applicants should be flexible to cover holidays/sickness of other staff when required.

The post holder will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Provide support and assistance to clinicians and managers, working as a team for the betterment of our patients.

Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice.

Education

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Experience

Experience working with the general public
Experience in reception work
Experience of working within General Practice
EMIS knowledge and NHS.net is an advantage
