We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to support the kitchen in delivering high-quality meals. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist chefs in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Support with the cooking process by following instructions and recipes accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Help with catering events by preparing meals as per the menu requirements.
Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is crucial.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed in the kitchen setting.
A genuine interest in culinary arts and meal preparation.
Must be able to work Weekends Friday - Sunday

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
