Ultima Skills Ltd is a dynamic training provider in the North West, specialising in logistics and HGV driving training, established in 2011. We are always looking for a new, aspiring and committed member of staff to join our team. It is not essential to have instructor experience so Class 1 Drivers looking for a career change will be considered for the role. The role will be working weekends with potentially a day or two in the week to accompany learners to driving tests.
Your opportunity
We are looking for to recruit a qualified and experienced HGV Driving Instructor with the competence of delivering both Class 2 (C) and Class 1 (C+E) training but this is not essential as long as you hold 3 years driving experience in the relevant category.
How will you contribute?
· Training candidates to test standard for both Class 2 (C), Class 1 (C+E) and Module 4 CPC
· Guiding and mentoring candidates who want to progress into the transport industry
· Completing classroom learning for Periodic CPC
· Represent the organisation in a professional manner in a customer facing role
· Build rapport with all candidates and always treat them with respect
Who are we looking for?
· Previous experience of instructing candidates through category C and C+E licence beneficial but not essential
· NRI (National Register of LGV Instructors) qualified instructor is beneficial but not essential
· Held Class 2 (C) licence for a minimum of 3 years
· Held Class 1 (C+E) licence for a minimum of 1 year with experience of instructing Class 2
· Good knowledge of driving legislation
· Calm and patient individual, with excellent people and communication skills
· Passion about teaching the future generation of drivers
· Passion to achieve success and make an impact in regard to the driver shortage crisis
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
