Lead on dementia awareness and understanding across Wokingham.
The role consists of marketing and communication, administration and coordination with a view to growing the reach and awareness of Dementia Friendly Wokingham (DFW).
1 Be the single point of contact and lead on the promotion and awareness raising of the DFW and its projects.
2 Act as Chair of the Movement, working to expand the reach of the group, utilising and supporting members.
3 With our Marketing and Communications Officer, deliver and execute marketing and communications strategy across all media to support, promote and increase awareness of the DFW and its work.
4 Develop and keep a wide range of stakeholders up to date and positive about supporting DFW.
5 Keep up to date and target different communities, neighbourhoods and streets to develop and introduce tools to increase awareness and knowledge of DFW.
6 Provide oversight and support for local dementia forums, encourage the development of more forums and attend where appropriate.
7 Line Manage the Wokingham Dementia Activities Coordinator.
8 Run ad hoc events as required.
9 Gather knowledge and information to ensure that a robust database, website and directory is kept of local dementia friendly activities and events.
10 Oversee the transfer of data onto our CRM system.
11 Chair, prepare agenda, papers and update actions for DFW meetings.
12 Coordinate and deliver Dementia Information Sessions across Wokingham.
13 To collect data and provide information that will be used to demonstrate the achievement of milestones, and inform the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of
the programme and activities.
14 To prepare reports and updates to the funder as required, including outputs, outcomes and impact.
15 Liaise and work with partners collaboratively, ensuring opportunities for DFW are maximised.
16 To carry out other duties commensurate with the tasks and within the competence of the postholder.
