Job Title: Administrator
Location: Pinderfields Hospital, Aberford Road, Wakefield, WF1 4DG
Hours: 37.5 per week Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm

Role type: Temporary for 5 months with possibility of extension
What you’ll be responsible for:
· The post holder will provide a support role to the Medico-Legal staff and the Access to Records Supervisor, and be able to work on their own initiative. Duties will include receipt and processing of all mail to the Department, dealing with telephone enquiries, photocopying of large volumes of confidential information and accessing the relevant systems to locate case notes and patient information
· Receipt and distribute the internal and external mail coming into the department to collate and ensure that outgoing post is sent within the appropriate timescales
· Maintain accurate information on the Access to Records database
· Deal with telephone enquiries as and when required
· Liaise with all internal departments trust wide to trace and locate case notes
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Administration experience
· NHS experience is highly desirable
· Knowledge of PAS IT system (highly desirable)
· Enthusiastic, confident approach to change, calm and reliable under pressure
· Ability to pick up new databases quickly
