The East Herts & Uttlesford office was established in July 2008 by its owner Mark Greatbatch, who has been delivering care services in the area since 1996. Mark first came into contact with Home Instead when he met Managing Director and UK Co-Founder, Trevor Brocklebank, at a United Kingdom Homecare Association Meeting in London in April 2008. In December 2010 Mark Greatbatch handed over the running of the East Herts & Uttlesford office to David Bassett and in 2022 David became Franchise Owner.

Responsibilities:
- Forge lasting connections with our clients, offering companionship and care during weekend visits.
- Create a cosy home environment by assisting with light household duties and meal preparations.
- Help clients enjoy their weekends, engaging in delightful activities like reading or watching TV together.
- Maintain continuous communication with clients and their families, providing unparalleled care and tranquillity.
Requirements:
- No prior experience necessary; thorough in-house training will be provided.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
- Must have reliable transport for home visits, outings, grocery shopping, and errands.
- Exceptional organisational skills and time management abilities.
- Innate caring and friendly nature, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
