Home Instead St Albans is an award-winning home care provider that offers companionship, housework, personal care, dementia care and other services to enable our clients to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes. As a live-in care assistant, you will live with one of our clients in their home and provide them with round-the-clock support according to their needs and preferences. You will also assist them with daily activities such as cooking, shopping, medication, appointments and hobbies. You will be matched with a client based on your personality, interests and skills, and you will have regular breaks and time off.
To be a successful live-in care assistant, you will need:
- A genuine passion for caring for older people
- A friendly, compassionate and respectful attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and use your initiative
- The willingness to learn and follow our high standards of care
- The right to work in the UK
- A valid driving licence and access to a car (preferred but not essential)
You do not need any previous experience or qualifications in care, as we will provide you with full training and ongoing support. You will also benefit from:
