Qualifications
Becoming a CAREGiver is simply all those things that you do to enhance the quality of life for seniors and to help keep them independent in their own home. With Home Instead, care means quality care. It means providing support that is completely personalised to the individual and is based on a close bond formed from personality similarities, shared experiences or interests and no rushed minimum one-hour visits.
Because of this, you can help children of ageing parents know that their loved ones remain safe and well and cared for at home. You can deliver a rewarding experience to people who may be lonely or require a bit of extra support to retain their independence. And you will go home every evening knowing that you made a positive difference to someone’s life.
We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts to become CAREGivers.
You do not need any experience or particular qualification to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be a personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and you are comfortable spending time in the company of others.

The role involvesall aspects of companionship, home help and personal care and ready access to reliable transport is essential, as you will need to travel between clients’ homes.
We are looking for flexible people to work up to three weekends per month and/or some evenings during the week and weekends.
Our area covers North Somerset (Portishead, Pill, Nailsea, Backwell) & Bristol (Clifton, Long Ashton, Failand, Bedminster, South Bristol and surrounding.
We provide industry-leading training, an employee benefits scheme, workplace pension, referral bonuses and ongoing support.
Our pay rates vary from £10.00 to £11.00 per hour with double pay on bank holidays.
