Senior Key Care Professionals
· A key care professional is an experienced and regular support to the client
· Client lead - an expert at understanding the client’s needs
· A key care professional is observant to all essential aspects of support to their client ie. noticing when medication is running low
· A key care professional has excellent communication with members of the office team and other care professional supporting the same client
Sparking Clean Environment
With care professional also comes sense of pride to maintain a sparkling clean environment for our clients.
Supporting Nutrition, Meal Prep and Food Supplies
A key care professional will support our clients with nutrition – managing weekly meal plans and shopping. Communicating with the rest of the client team to ensure the client gets variety and the meals they want.
· Is the fridge clean and tidy
· Is the food in date?
· Is there enough food in the fridge/freezer to support their nutritional needs
· Is there too much food in the fridge/freezer that indicates the clients isn’t eating enough?
· Is the food stored correctly
· Does the client need support with meal planning
Medication
Key care professionals take accountability for checking medication and making the office aware of any changes.
Key care professional will inform the office if medication and creams are running low in supply and order and collect from the pharmacy.
Key care professional will send the office team a perfect photo of medication so we can update our records.
Matching, Shadowing and Introducing
Our promise is that there will never be a stranger at the door and that we will always introduce new care professionals – a key care professional will make sure any new care professionals are introduced and run through the detail of the client routine and what is important to them.
As a key care professional you will have built up a relationship and trust with the client; the client may inform you that they don’t enjoy another care professional visit so much. This could have reasonings but most often it is simply down to personalities and interests
The Mum and Dad test
A key care professional will always ask themselves, Is this care good enough for my Mum and Dad?
Read the daily notes by the client team and make sure everyone in the team is delivering the best care, communicating any changes and escalate any concerns to the office including medication.
The role can either be part time or full time and alternate weekends are required; the salary is £25k p/a (or pro rata if part time)
Experience in care is key, as well as being competent in computer literacy and Apps.
