The Enhanced Recovery team on Hilton Main Ward provides a high standard of care to patients both pre and post elective primary hip and knee replacement surgery. Prior to admission, patients are invited to attend a pre operative education and information session (Joint School). This is delivered by the Enhanced Recovery Specialist Nurse and therapy team. The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for the booking of appointments and dealing with general enquiries in relation to Joint School. They will also be expected to assist in the preparation of sessions which will include meeting & greeting patients on arrival. Following the sessions the successful candidate would be responsible for cashing up the clinic on PAS and updating the local database.
A fantastic opportunity is available for the right person to join our friendly Enhanced Recovery Team based on Hilton Main ward. This is a very busy service which provides care to patients undergoing elective orthopaedic surgery.
The successful candidate will become part of the wider team on Hilton Main ensuring the patients receive a high standard of care. We are looking for someone to work with the team who is pro-active, competent, caring and compassionate, with excellent communication skills.
Candidates must be able to work in a pressured environment, thrive on challenges and exceed expectation on a daily basis.
This post is a 15 hour post which will consist of working over 3 days. Tuesdays and Thursdays (afternoons essential) and one other to be agreed. Flexibility essential to meet the needs of the service.
