We are looking to recruit Catering Assistants within Walsall Manor Hospital to support our temporary staffing team; this team work on a flexible basis and we are able to offer varied hours and days to suit your availability. There roles cover working hours Monday through to Sunday, mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, at both the Manor Hospital and Holly bank House.
Our Catering team play a key role in providing meal service to our patient’s, providing meals 365 days per year which includes weekends and Bank Holidays.
The role involves a wide range of catering duties including, cleanings of he department, food preparation, distribution of food items to wards and departments and working in the Cafe/Shop. Working at our Satellite Unit at Holly bank House, Catering assistants are responsible for providing safe and nutritious meals for patients and staff.
You would also be responsible for cleaning premises and equipment, and maintaining cleaning standards.
Working as part of a team, you will need to be motivated, enthusiastic and committed to the role. It is important that you are a clear communicator as the position does require you to communicate with the ward teams, patients, colleagues and our contractors on a daily basis. Our Hospital is extremely busy is and challenging environment for individuals and we are looking for team players who are able to to use your own initiative and follow instructions as per our processes,

To provide food/beverage & cleaning service in the catering Department and associated food service areas, cleaning of premises and equipment, duties in the kitchen may also include preparation of vegetables, salad and sandwiches, service to patients, staff, and visitors.
