Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is recruiting for a Domestic Assistant based at Bishops Castle Community Hospital. Working as a Domestic Assistant you will be maintaining the high levels of cleanliness throughout the hospital, whilst adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is reliable, flexible, well organised, self-motivated, has good interpersonal communication skills and is able to work effectively alone and as part of a team.
A high standard of personal hygiene must be obtained. Uniform must not be worn to and from work.

To perform domestic duties e.g. mopping, dusting, hovering in all parts of the hospital or other Trust establishments and surrounding areas as required.
To maintain the required standard of cleaning service using the correct procedures and frequencies.
Flush all water outlets on a daily basis and record when completed.
Ensure the correct use of mechanical cleaning equipment including floor polisher.
Ensure own cleaning stock is maintained.
Complete cleaning schedules on a daily basis.
Undertake curtain hanging as required.
Report equipment faults to the appropriate manager.
Report hazards or potential hazards to the appropriate Manager and adhere to the requirements of the Trust’s Health & Safety Policy.
Report any infestation immediately to the appropriate Manager.
Uniform, as provided, must be worn at all times in the hospital environment.
