About our company
You could be joining a leading provider of home care and support services to older adults in the area. We were formed over 15 years ago based on the owner’s own experience of caring for her daughter. She felt there was a need to provide a care service that puts people at the heart of the service rather than profit. Everyone who works in our service has a passion for ensuring only the highest standards of support is provided. We have a good CQC rating and brilliant feedback from their Care Assistants about being “A fantastic place to work”
What would you be doing?
You will be visiting older vulnerable adults in their own homes. Helping them with everyday tasks, so they can continue to live in the environment which they love most because it holds their treasured memories.
When people can't do what they used to do for themselves, their world shrinks. they may spend more time alone, see less people and may even start to wonder if anyone does care. That's where you come in to give isolated people contact to the outside world and show them they are not forgotten.
Duties include:
- Supporting clients to relearn skills and regain their independence in their own home
- Help with elements of personal care including getting up in the morning, prepare for bed in the evening by being there whilst they have a shower or bath.
- Assist them with dressing/undressing.
- Preparing meals and snacks.
- Domestic helping with the laundry or other household cleaning.
- Support with shopping and managing their bills.
- Being a warm reliable companion who they can rely on for support.
- Provide medication support to administer, verbal or physical assistance.
- Daily living assistance and getting up and about.
- Motivating to achieve the goals they have set.
