About The Service
You will earn £23,152 a year working full time (37 hour a week), or £12 per hour pro rata, as we are a Voluntary Living Wage employer. The Living Wage is reviewed each year and Cardiff Council reserves the right to make changes to, or remove, the Living Wage Supplement.
Our Into Work Advice Service Team is looking to employ a Corporate Trainee based at based at Central Library Hub, The Hayes, CF10 1FL to contribute to our Service helping us to deliver employment related support to a range of jobseekers in Cardiff. The Corporate Trainee will assist with CV’s, job applications, hep applying for Universal Credit and assist the Engagement Team with organising and delivering events.

About the job
In this Corporate Trainee role, you will learn to:
- Assist with writing CV’s
- How to assist jobseekers to look for work online
- Make online welfare benefit claims
- Complete Job applications
- Assist with Universal Credit claims
- Assist with basic digital queries
- Assist with calls and emails to our service users
- Assist with arranging and delivering events
To support your development, you will receive on the job training and supervision to help you deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive and customer focussed manner. You will also be supported by a named mentor to who will encourage you to develop a range of transferrable skills to support your career progression.
Evening and weekend working may be required on a rota basis.
