Business Development Manager – South East Region

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our UK operations team, covering the South East region.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be working closely with Franchise Partners and their teams to understand, define and execute their growth plans, ensure consistency in brand standards and be the conduit between the network and functional support.
Being a strong influencer , you will be engaging in crucial conversations with the ability to diagnose any issues and implementing appropriate plans and resources where necessary.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, implementation, and measurement of franchise business plans.
- Develop and manage team budgets, expenditure, proposals and/or presentations.
- Develop and implement regional plans to achieve approved financial, quality, and other non-financial goals.
- Determine how time is spent to achieve business goals and create effective journey planning to ensure minimum contact standards are achieved across your region with each franchisee.
- Meet/exceed all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and performance metrics
- Proactively identify opportunities consistent with business strategies and promote solutions that add value to the owners.
- Interpret sales numbers and explain reasons for increase or decrease in sales numbers and create and implement action plans to address poor performance.
- Attend regular scheduled regional team meetings and participate as required in meeting with Franchisor executive team.
- Strong verbal, written communication skills and demonstrated understanding of financial statements.

- Full-time role – core hours 8:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday with some flexibility
- Remote based – with extensive travel across the South East region (some overnight stays will be required)

Candidate requirements
- Relevant Degree or 10 years successful work experience.
- Five years’ experience in multi-site operations over geographical territories.
- Ideally to have a working knowledge of UK regulations governing home care services.
- Able to influence peer management and franchise owners.
- Able to use data to analyse trends and opportunities to assist in operational effectiveness, sales growth, and revenue growth
- Comfortable reading P&L statements and identifying trends to improve profitability and operational effectiveness, margins, and overheads
- Demonstrates good judgment based on principles of ethics and business management and adheres to the policies and practices of the company.
- Works as part of an effective team, evidenced by strong results, positive morale, and enthusiasm to support company goals.
- Must be effective in a variety of formal presentation settings, one-on-one, small, and large groups.
- Can identify problems, analysing them in a systematic, timely way and acting decisively to implement solutions and resolve issues.
