Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Artisan to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with a focus on food preparation and safety. As an Artisan, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dishes that delight our customers while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. Your creativity, time management skills, and ability to upsell will contribute significantly to the success of our kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Assist in the development of new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations and upsell menu items effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Support training of junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients and managing inventory.
- A proactive attitude towards helping team members and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Previous experience in upselling or customer interaction is advantageous but not essential.
