We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience in retail industry to join our store on a temporary basis. Successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about retail and customer service, previous experience is preferable but not essential.
Position: Shopfloor General Assistant (Temporary)
Location: Stratford Centre (E15 1XD)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (fixed temporary contract)
Working Period: October 2024 to February 2025
Salary: £11.75/hr
Benefits: 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) on provider, staff discount, pension scheme
About the Role
As a General Assistant, it will include duties such as selling and replenishing products, serving customers on the tills, assisting the supervisors and store managers in maintaining the smoothly running of the store on a daily basis.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer service including dealing with customer’s queries and complaints
- Ensure that products are displayed and replenished in line with the Company’s standards
- Operating the tills, handing payments including refunds
- Actively involved in receiving deliveries which includes heavy lifting
- Prepping and packing products according to the Company’s guidelines
- Keeping up to date with product information
- Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management
Requirements:
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Willingness to carry out hands on tasks and heavy lifting
- Previous experience in a retail environment will be an advantage
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
