The Eye Unit has an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join a friendly supportive and experienced team.
The Unit is a busy day case and outpatient area seeing over 1,000 patients a week. We deliver high quality care and manage many ophthalmic conditions. Our staff adhere to Trust values which is really important to us as a team.
The post is for 22.5 hours a week and will provide the successful candidate with new skills, competence and development opportunities.
The post is aimed at candidates with experience in an HCSW role. You will be motivated, enthusiastic and have a keen interest in ophthalmology.
To assist with patient care and other department related duties working closely within the Eye Unit including consultant surgeons and Administration team.
To carry out routine and additional/extended role duties, when trained and assessed as competent, as instructed by and under the supervision of the Senior nurse in charge.
To contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with nursing colleagues and all members of the multi-disciplinary team, and work in accordance with the Trust values and hospital policies at all times.
