We are looking for an Administration Assistant / Typist / Receptionist to join the Long-Term Conditions Department at Torbay Hospital. The post-holder will be responsible for the administrative support across the teams within the Long-term Conditions Department.
The ideal candidate will need to be proficient in their typing ability, customer service skills, grammar, spelling and punctuation
The role will require you to be a good communicator and work both independently and as part of the team.
To provide typing, administrative and clerical support to ensure an effective
and efficient service in line with Standard Operating Procedures
To ensure that patients are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect.

Neurophysiology, Respiratory, Post Covid, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Weight Management and Nephrology. This role will involve working within these different specialities according the demands of the service as required.
Main duties of the job
Administration Assistant: To support the specialist teams in carrying out the booking of appointments ensuring Referral to Treatment (RTT) data quality is kept up-to-date and amended accordingly. To type clinical and non-clinical correspondence and reports in accordance with local targets, to undertake a variety of general office duties, filing, photocopying, tracering of hospital notes and any other administrativeduties.
Receptionist: Greeting patients to the department, attending clients on multiple hospital systems, answering telephone, processing clinic outcomes, making follow-up appointments, filing and any other admin duties.
