As a member of our administrative team you will play an essential role in supporting clinical colleagues who work in these teams providing care during the hours of 8am 8pm, 7 days a week. The administrative team work alongside clinical teams who include Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and support staff. You will regularly communicate across the whole team as well as with service users and colleagues across the wider organisation.
This role is essential to the smooth running of our services ensuring that our service users receive the best care possible.
In the Inner City & East (ICE) team we provide an administration service between the hours of 8am-8pm, 7 days a week. We are looking for a candidate to work 22.5 hours a week over 3 or 4 days. We can offer a set flexible start and end times which can be discussed on appointment. You would be required to work rotated bank holidays and a couple of 8 pm finishes a month.
Provide a professional service to a range of customers including patients/clients, careers, families, health professionals and other organisations.
Respond appropriately to unexpected and challenging situations which may include contact with patients in emotional situations.
Give non-clinical advice appropriately.
Escalate issues to line manager.
Liaise with colleagues, patients and external contacts regarding complex messages and patient queries (including sensitive information) to help the team run effectively.
Adapt communication according to a diverse range of situations.
Create templates and bespoke letters with guidance.
Maintain awareness of priorities.
Problem solve to manage expectations of patients.
Follow standard operating procedures, contributing ideas for process improvements..
Maintain records relating to medical devices and equipment.
Create and maintain accurate records in line with confidentiality guidelines.
