Bank Switchboard Operator / Telephonist
To provide a high quality standard of telephonist/receptionist duties within the hospital’s switchboard department. Ensuring the highest standard of customer care to staff, patients and visitors.
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt maintains a register of Temporary Workers “The Bank”. Joining the Trust’s Bank does not constitute a contract of employment between the bank member and the Trust. The Trust will notify bank members when a suitable assignment arises, and members will be able to choose whether or not to accept it. The bank worker is under no obligation to accept an offer of an assignment.

The nearest train station is in Gobowen, approximately two miles from the hospital. The station is part of the Chester to Birmingham line.
To operate the Switchboard System and Blick Multiotone Pager System without supervision. Answering calls within the set performance criteria.
To be fully competent in activating the Pager System in event of cardiac arrest, medical emergency and Fire.
To implement the Hospital Accident and Emergency Procedures when required.
To assist hospital staff and the general public with information as and when required.
To take necessary action in the event of alarms being activated, ie ARC blood alarms, panic alarms etc.
To contact ‘on-call’ personnel, medical and non-medical as necessitates.
To put forward any ideas for improving the service.
To call Blood Bikes, Taxis when required
To take part in a rota system, covering 24 hours, seven days a week
