This is a non- clinical role which is designed to help relieve the current pressures on GPs, with a focus on administration and patient experience.

Hours: 24 hours per week. Days and times to be agreed

Rate of Pay: £12.86 per hour

Reporting to the Practice Business Manager, the successful candidate will be working alongside the Management team and GPs.

Duties:

· Completing basic (non- opinion) forms and core elements of some forms for the GP to approve and sign such as insurance forms, mortgage, benefits agency forms etc.

· The basics of Safeguarding reports with clinical input as necessary

· Admin tasks which would otherwise be sent to the GP

· Production and managing clinical rotas to ensure adequate cover being in place

· Working with other staff, patients and third parties such as care homes to plan home visits for vaccine programmes

· Keeping our Social Media pages up to date and relevant within the guidelines set by NHS England

· Monitoring waiting lists and non- attendees of appointments

· Updating staff via our Practice Newsletter

· Requesting and collating Family and Friends test data for reporting.

· Support the GPs with any duties that are appropriate for the GP Assistant to do to help relieve the GP workload and enable better patient access.

· Providing support to Managers

· Any other work deemed appropriate as the role and job description progresses.
