Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Coffee Assistant/ Cafe Assisant to join our vibrant team. We have recently re-launched Baskerville’s, the South East’s premier dog friendly cafe and want someone with the passion to take it forward and show care about our business.

For the right candidate we can offer Barista Training, therefore no experience is necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Coffee Assistant, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service.
Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and improve skills.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques, ensuring quality and consistency in every beverage.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a hygienic workspace.
A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers find their perfect drink choice.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: £8.70-£11.90 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
